Fabienne Rawat

Heads the research department of DDMA and Focus Group China and has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research.

She is an expert in marketing research and branding, having lead projects for both international B2C and B2B companies such as IKEA, Volvo and Ericsson.

She started her career in marketing research with one of the leading research agencies in Switzerland, working for more than 5 years on projects in the F&B and retail sector before relocating to Asia.

Cathy got her bachelor degree from Shanghai JiaoTong University, and her master degree from University of Southern California. She worked in the department of research and development in a Los Angeles County government agency for 7 years, during which time she orchestrated and executed multi-million dollar projects for the U.S. government. Cathy has comprehensive knowledge of market research, and rich experience in project management.

In DDMA, Cathy has been conducting various types of market research projects ranging from retail audits, in-depth interviews, focus groups, to CATIs, online surveys and etc. She has managed some key accounts such as Premier Foods, Steens, Irish Seafood.

Cathy is fluent in English, Mandarin and Shanghai dialect.

Coco Zhang, Project Director

Shanghai-based Coco began her market research career with Synovate, and received extensive in-house training. She is an expert in complex fieldwork management, and was a CATI supervisor with Synovate.

Her field work management experience includes supervising a customer satisfaction study for Ford Motor and also for China Mobile and a consumption study for Cadbury.

As Operations Director for DDMA, her focus is on quality and accuracy of data. She uses her extensive experience to check and screen our market research.

Coco is a native Mandarin and Shanghai dialect speaker, and speaks English.

Sam founded Shanghai-headquartered DDMA in 2002. Today the company provides full service market research to big brands and Fortune 500 companies across China.

He is regularly featured in international media such as BBC News, Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal with insight including consumer online behavior in China.

Sam has over 15 years market research and consultancy experience in Asia Pacific with clients including Diageo, Brown Forman, Wanglaoji, Intel, B&Q, Revlon and the Chinese government run sports lottery. In alcoholic beverages he negotiated the JV between the second largest Chinese baijiu producer and V&S.

His career includes responsibility as director for Synovate Taiwan office leading full Asia Pacific-wide research programs for Anheuser-Busch and Johnson & Johnson. He moved to China in 1997.
