Sam Mulligan
sam mulligan

Sam is the founder of FocusGroupChina, a subsidiary of DDMA Market Research & Consulting, and has over fifteen years marketing research and consultancy experience in the Asia Pacific region. He has worked extensively across all key Asian markets with many of the world’s leading companies as his clients.

In 1996, while Sam was the director of Synovate Taiwan, his team was appointed to manage the Anheuser Busch marketing research programs in Taiwan. This was soon expanded to include Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Japan. In 1997, Anheuser Busch expanded his responsibilities to include China and in mid-1997 he relocated to Shanghai to head up the Anheuser Busch China market research program. In addition to his regional responsibilities with Anheuser Busch, Sam also worked extensively on new product development research across Asia Pacific for Johnson & Johnson and provided consulting services to a wide array of leading multinationals.

In 2002, Sam founded DDMA Market Research & Consulting which includes FocusGroupChina and Beechwood Consulting and opened offices in Singapore and Shanghai. The objective of the company is to offer data supported, knowledge based consultancy to companies in China and Asia Pacific. Since its launch, DDMA Market Research & Consulting has assisted numerous Fortune 500 companies and has built-up capabilities and expertise in the areas of Qualitative and Quantitative Research, Industry Research, and Business Consultancy.
